Three candidates are running to represent Coconut Grove on the Miami-Dade County Commission. Election day is Tuesday August 20.
The Miami Foundation hosts an online forum this week featuring the three candidates running to represent District 7 on the Miami-Dade County Commission. The forum will stream live on Thursday July 18 at 7:00 p.m., and then be posted for later viewing. The forum is one of several being hosted this summer by the foundation. Election day is Tuesday August 20. This year’s District 7 race features a rematch between incumbent Commissioner Raquel Regalado and former Pinecrest Mayor Cindy Lerner. The third candidate is Richard Praschnik, a police officer with Miami-Dade County Public Schools. Martin Vassolo of Axios Miami will moderate the forum. Early voting begins Monday August 5.
