Miami-Dade County Commissioner Raquel Regalado easily defeated challenger Cindy Lerner on Tuesday to win a second four-year term as the county’s District 7 commissioner. Regalado captured 57% of the vote in the nonpartisan race. Regalado was forced to compete a second time this year against the former mayor of Pinecrest after failing to top 50% in the August primary election. This year’s District 7 race was a rematch of the 2020 election, when Regalado defeated Lerner by a slimmer margin.

State Rep. Vicki Lopez (R-113) defeated Democrat Jackie Gross-Kellogg with 55% of the vote on Tuesday. Florida House District 113 includes the northern portion of Coconut Grove.
State Rep. Demi Busatta Cabrera (R-114) defeated Democrat Matthew Bornstein with 58% of the vote. Florida House District 114 includes the southern and western portions of Coconut Grove.
Joseph Geller defeated Martin Karp to capture the Miami-Dade School Board District 3 seat representing Coconut Grove. Geller captured 55% of the vote.
Miami voters approved two development deals on Watson Island. Both proposals passed with approximately 60% of the vote.
