The City of Miami is revising its tree ordinance and residents are invited to weigh in – starting next week – on what works, what doesn’t and how the rules can better protect the city’s tree canopy. The city will host five workshops over two weeks – one for every commission district – to solicit public feedback. Three workshops will be held next week, including the District 3 workshop at Shenandoah Park on Wednesday, Aug. 12, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Coconut Grove workshop (District 2) will be held the following week on Thursday, Aug. 20, from 6 to 9 p.m. at The Hangar at Regatta Grove, next to Miami City Hall.
