A second community meeting on the proposed design plans for Kirk Munroe Park and Fuller Street will be held at City Hall on Thursday, March 19 starting at 6 p.m.
The goal of the meeting, according to District 2 liaison Javier Gonzalez, is to finalize the locations of key park amenities – the proposed playground and hitting wall, for instance – and discuss construction materials and finishes.
The agenda will include an open question-and-answer session.
“We are looking forward to the community engagement portion of the meeting, as this is a great opportunity for residents to engage directly with the design team, parks staff and public works staff to address any questions that you may have about the project,” Gonzalez wrote in an email blast.
The proposed design for Fuller Street, which was not addressed during the first public meeting on Feb. 18, will be discussed, Gonzalez said.
The meeting follows last month’s well-attended gathering at Sandbar Sports Grill, where attendees filled out surveys and comment cards and had the opportunity to speak one-on-one with city staff and representatives for the Allen Morris Company, the developer who is leading the redevelopment effort in both locations.
