Lawsuit Seeks to Block Virginia Key Marina Referendum

Rickenbacker Marina, shown here, has operated on the west side of Virginia Key for more than four decades. City officials say they are legally obligated to ask voters to approve a long-term lease allowing a competing operator to redevelop the property. (Photo courtesy of Rickenbacker Marina.)

  1. The way the city has gone about this has been so irregular and dodgy. And now they are trying to “put it to the voters” using deception again. We need to get the word out to vote no in the initiative if this lawsuit is unsuccessful.

  2. Miami votes need to vote NO in this referendum. For more details on the misleading ballot information and this bad deal for Miami voters see http://www.saveourmarinas.org
