Residents Testify About Old Smokey’s Harmful Effects
“It was bad. It was extremely bad,” one resident said when testifying in court about the smoke and ash that choked her neighborhood in the 1950s and 1960s before the City of Miami closed its Old Smokey incinerator on Jefferson Street.
