The final design plans for two public spaces in Center Grove – Kirk Munroe Park and the pedestrian promenade on Fuller Street – head to the City Commission this week for final approval Thursday. Commissioners are being asked to approve the plans prepared by the Allen Morris Company and contribute $3 million toward the cost of the proposed improvements. Allen Morris Company, developer of the high-end Ziggurat project at the corner of Grand Avenue and Matilda Street, has agreed to contribute $2 million and cover any cost overruns. Renderings of the proposed improvements can be seen at this link. The design plans must also be approved by the BID (the Coconut Grove Business Improvement District).
