And those old vote-by-mail requests? Wiped clean on January 1. The next election is Tuesday 11/4 — just 60 days away. What’s the last possible day to check? The deadline? Oh, please. This is one thing you don’t want to leave to the last minute. Think hours, not days. Days, not weeks. Weeks, not months. The Kampong hosts a morning of renewal and reflection to close out The Blue in Our Veins exhibition — blending movement, creativity, and calm in a lush garden setting. A laid-back Spanish Conversation Circle is forming at the Coconut Grove Branch Library, open to adults of all skill levels who want to practice speaking in a relaxed, encouraging setting. The South Florida Cake Swap rolls into Vizcaya Village on Saturday 9/14 with one simple rule: bring a cake, taste many. Inspired by New York’s viral Cake Picnic, this joyful potluck is hosted with the Read It & Eat It Cookbook Club and welcomes all cake styles — vegan, gluten-free, layered, loafed… just no ice cream cakes. Ingredient cards help share stories and recipes, and the event overlaps with the Vizcaya Farmers Market, with 40+ local vendors plus extras like the Bookleggers Mobile Library. New World Symphony kicks off its season with a pay-what-you-wish concert that proves “serious music” doesn’t have to take itself too seriously.
